Facebook and WhatsApp

Facebook can be accessed from number of devices with Internet connectivity, like desktop computerslaptops and tablet computers, and smartphones.

It is an American online social media and social networking service company in Menlo Park, California. Its website was launched on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg, with fellow Harvard College students

Initially limited the website's membership to Harvard students. Later they expanded it to higher education institutions in the Boston area
the Ivy League schools, and Stanford University

Facebook slowly added support for students at various other universities, and eventually to high school students.

The name comes from the face book directories often given to American university students.

Facebook held its initial public offering (IPO) in February 2012.

WhatsApp joined Facebook in 2014. WhatsApp is now part of the Facebook family of companies. Their Privacy Policy explains how they work together to improve their services and offerings, like fighting spam across apps, making product suggestions, and showing relevant offers and ads on Facebook.

Nothing you share on WhatsApp, including your messages, photos, and account information, will be shared onto Facebook or any of theirother family of apps for others to see, and nothing you post on those apps will be shared on WhatsApp for others to see.

On Facebook, users may join common-interest user groups organized by workplace, school, hobbies or other topics, and categorize their friends into lists such as colleague or Friends. Users can report or block unpleasant people.

Facebook has more than 2.23 billion monthly active users as of March 2018.
